About ATAR Buddy

A free study platform for Queensland QCE Year 12 students preparing for their external exams.

What it is

ATAR Buddy brings the things students actually use to prepare into one place, matched to the current QCAA syllabus. It is built for students, to be simple and useful.

Past papers from the QCAA, with the official marking guides, as a full paper, multiple choice only, written only, or under timed conditions.
Short lessons that explain each syllabus topic in plain English, with key terms and a quick quiz.
Flashcards and formulas, scheduled with spaced repetition so each card comes back just before it is forgotten.
English tools for text study: character maps, a timeline, a quote bank with plain-English meanings, a skeleton essay builder and quote practice.
An exam plan that counts down to every exam and splits the time between subjects.

Who it is for

Queensland students sitting QCE external exams, and the teachers who support them. Subjects currently include Mathematical Methods, Physics, English, Accounting, Economics, Legal Studies, Study of Religion and Digital Solutions.

Safe by design

No chat, messaging, comments or any way for students to contact or see each other.
No ads. The site is free and does not track you across other websites.
Only the details needed to run an account are stored (username, email, a hashed password and study progress). See the privacy page.
Past papers and marking guides are published by the QCAA. ATAR Buddy is not affiliated with the QCAA.
