What we store

Your account: username, email and a securely hashed password (we never see your password).
Your study progress: answers, flashcard history, notes, plans and essays you write in the app.
Basic activity: when you last used the site and how many questions you've answered.

This is stored on the computer that runs ATAR Buddy and is only used to run the app for you. We don't sell it or share it.

Sign in with Google or Apple

If you use these, Google or Apple tell us your email address so we can match it to your account. We don't get your password or anything else.

Cookies

We use one cookie to keep you signed in. Cloudflare, which protects and delivers the site, may set security cookies. The "I'm not a robot" check is provided by Cloudflare Turnstile.

Advertising

ATAR Buddy has no ads and does not track you across other websites.

Optional explanation helper

The person who runs the site can switch on an optional helper that writes explanations. When it is on and you use it, the question and your answer are sent to the language model behind it to write the reply. It is not needed to use anything else on the site.

Deleting your account

Ask the person who runs the site and your account and progress will be deleted.
